Bob Burk-  Teaching Professional and Tournament Director

 

Attended Florida Junior College and Georgia Southern University on golf scholarships and earned a Journalism degree in 1980.  Coached by Buddy Alexander (current University of Florida coach and 1987 U.S. Amateur Champion).    Worked as golf professional after college on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and played the mini-tour circuit 1980-82.  After leaving Stone Creek  2000 he became area human resource director for 30 Waffle House restaurants until Sept 23, 2009 when re-joined Stone Creek.  Bob’s Wife Tricia and three kids, Josh, Hannah and Rachel have lived in Valdosta for 22 years.

 

 

 

 

 

Shannon Lamb - Director of Golf and Supernatant

Serves as the resident professional for Stone Creek.  Shannon is a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a degree in turf management.  Shannon began his work with Stone Creek in 1993 as an intern for his turf management degree.  Upon graduation Shannon came back to work at Stone Creek.  From 1995 until 1999, Shannon served as Head Greens keeper.  In 1999 he was placed in the position of Head Golf Professional. Shannon is currently enrolled in the Pro Golf Associations Golf Professional Training Program through which he will attain Class A Pro Status.  Shannon's combined expertise of greens keeping and golf course management is an invaluable asset to our club.  He is available for individual and group instruction and is happy to handle any outing or tournament for your group or company.
